The Flame (a.ka. The Kids) Johnny dropped out of school at 16 to concentrate on music. He played gigs with The Flame - eventually the band changed their name toThe Kids when the word Flame just didn't seem appropriate printed up on t-shirts.) They opened for acts like Iggy Pop, the B-52's and headed out to L.A. to try and make it big but eventually disbanded Rock City Angels This was his second chance at music stardom. He with The Rock City Angels in between small acting gigs until he was cast in 21 Jump Street and and had to give up his spot in the band when he made his contractual commitment to the show. P P Band Members consist of: Gabby Haynes - vocals Johnny - guitar and bass Bill Garter - guitar and bass Sal Jenco - percussion Additional musicians: Ruth Carter - keyboards Flea - bass Steve Jones - guitar Chuck Weiss - washboard Andrew Weiss - mellotron and bass Oasis Has twice recorded with them, playing lead slide guitar on the track "Fade In-Out", from the 1997 album Be Here Now. Lead guitarist Noel Gallagher, was apparently too drunk to perform it himself during the recordings, so Johnny stepped in and nailed the lead on one take. Hollywood Goes Wild This was an LP compiled in 2001 for an animal rescue charity and starred other celebs such as Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, and Iggy Pop. Arizona Dream movie soundtrack Johnny performs "American Dreamers" which is an additional track on the special edition soundtrack. Chuck E. Weiss - Extremely Cool The song "Devil with Blue Suede Shoes" from this 1999 album is executive-produced by Johnny Bliss - Vanessa Paradis Co-wrote the songs "St Germain" and "Bliss" with Vanessa. Played guitar on "Firmaman". Chocolat soundtrack Plays acoustic in the film itself and is listed in the credits with Malcom Ross for the songs "Minor Swing", "They're Red Hot" and "Caravan".
